(West Bend)– A report of a domestic disturbance this (Friday) afternoon resulted in the arrest of a West Bend man.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called around 12:20 p.m. to 304 Seventh Street South in West Bend regarding a male that had possibly assaulted a female at the residence earlier in the morning and had left the residence with a firearm.
The male came home around noon and the female and children were evacuated from the home. Law enforcement attempted to make contact with the man by telephone with no answer. Entry was then gained to the home and verbal contact was made with the man, identified as 32-year-old Michael Schneider of West Bend.
Schneider was charged with domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury…a serious misdemeanor. He was booked into the Palo Alto county jail and was being held pending an initial court appearance.
