Sibley Crash Results In Minor Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A two-vehicle collision Saturday in Sibley sent one person to the hospital.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Levi Christensen of Sibley was southbound on Fifth Avenue and 67-year-old Sylvia Rolfes of Sibley was westbound on Sixth Street when the two collided in the intersection. The impact of the collision forced both vehicles into the southwest corner of the intersection where Rolfes’ vehicle struck a tree.

Rolfes was taken by private vehicle to the Osceola Community Hospital with minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Christensen.

Rolfes was cited for failure to yield.

Three thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1996 GMC Sierra driven by Christensen; a 2006 Chrysler Rolfes was driving sustained an estimated 8,500-dollars in damage.

The collision took place shortly before noon.
