Flood Warnings

(Milford)..The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls today issued Flood Warnings for the following:
The Little Sioux River near Milford..at 7:00 today (Friday) the stage was 12.4 feet..flood state is 12.0 feet. This creates minor flooding of low lying agricultural lands.
The Little Sioux river at Spencer..at 8:00 am today (Friday) the stage was 9.4 feet..flood stage is 10.0 feet. The forecast is to rise above the flood stage by 4:00 pm today and crest near 14.6 feet by Thursday the 18th. At stages near 14.5 feet, county road B40 southeast of Spencer begins flooding.
The Little Sioux River at Linn Grove..at 10:00 am today (Friday) the stage was 17.4 feet.. flood stage is 18.0 feet. The forecast is to rise above flood stage by noon Saturday and crest near 20.9 feet by Monday. At stages near 20.0 feet flooding of agricultural lands will take place along this entire stretch of river.
The Des Moines River at Jackson..at 9:00 today (Friday) the stage was 6.6 feet..flood stage is 12.0 feet. Minor flooding is possible now. The forecast is to rise above flood stage Mondayand crest near 13.3 feet. At stages near 14.9 feet flooding begins to affect homes and businesses along the non-leveed portions of the river in Jackson.
