(Estherville)– Officials with Iowa Lakes Community College Tuesday announced the hiring of a new Supervisor at the Algona campus and a new Director for its Spencer campus.
Theresa Waechter begins her new duties as Supervisor at the Algona campus this Thursday, July 1st. Waechter, who’s been active in the Algona community for years, will supervise, coordinate and direct personnel and general operations of the campus as well as recruit, advise and register students.
Waechter has an Associate in Business, an Associate in Arts and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management. She has worked as an Administrative Assistant at Iowa Lakes the past 16 years, also serving as Adjunct Instructor and Continuing Education Director.
Mary Faber has been hired effective July 1st as Director of the Spencer campus. She’ll supervise, coordinate and direct personnel and general operations of the campus along with recruiting, advising and registering students and overseeing the Spencer campus.
Faber has a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work and a Master of Arts degree in higher education. She is working to complete a doctorate in May, 2011.
Faber has worked at Iowa Lakes Community College 15 years, having served previously as Director of the TRIO program, Coordinator of the ASPIRES/Upward Bound program, and as a grant writer.
