(Spirit Lake)– A complaint of alleged illegal drug activity at a Spirit Lake residence has resulted in charges against two people.
Spirit Lake police say officers were called to 412 18th Street apartment C around 1:00 a.m. Saturday after receiving the anonymous complaint.
A subsequent investigation and search of the residence resulted in the arrests of 19-year-old Caleb Reed of Graettinger and 18-year-old Sandra Smith of Spirit Lake.
Reed was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of prescription drugs.
Smith was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; prohibited acts and possessing contraband.
Also charged in the investigation were a juvenile male and female…both from Graettinger. They were cited in juvenile court for possession of alcohol under the legal age and were released to guardians.
