Hwy 86 Collision Results In Possible Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Wahpeton)– Possible injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision Saturday on Highway 86 just south of the Emmerson Bay turn-off.

The Iowa State Patrol says 47-year-old Jill Crimmins of Manson was northbound and had slowed for traffic when she was struck in the rear by a another northbound vehicle driven by 51-year-old Riley Armstrong of Vermillion, South Dakota.

Possible injuries were reported to Crimmins but she apparently was not taken to the hospital. No injuries were reported to Armstrong who was cited for following too closely.

Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Crimmins; a 2004 P.T. Cruiser driven by Armstrong sustained an estimated 3,500-dollars in damage.

The collision took place shortly after 11:30 a.m.
