(Estherville)– The Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for a new grant program that helps community organizations promote and market various activities.
The “Shout if Out” promotional grants provide funding for promotion and marketing expenses only. Grant funds are available on a first-come, first-serve basis until June 30th, 2011 or until the funds are exhausted. Applications must be submitted 60 days prior to the event to allow time for application review. Each year only 50 percent of grant funds can be distributed to repeat projects.
About $3,350 is available this year for grant disbursement. The money comes from hotel/motel tax revenue the chamber receives to develop tourism in Estherville.
Applications will be reviewed and approved based on the quality of the project and benefit to the community.
