Woman Accused Of Shoplifting At SL Wal-Mart Also Faces Drug Charges

(Spirit Lake)– A Gillet Grove woman originally arrested for allegedly shoplifting at the Spirit Lake Wal-Mart store also faces drug charges.

Spirit Lake police say they were called to the store shortly before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night after getting a report of a shoplifter. Upon investigating authorities arrested 20-year-old Elizabeth Loring of Gillet Grove on suspicion of shoplifting.

Upon further investigation officers determined Loring was in possession of what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia and a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

Loring was booked into the Dickinson county jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…a serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and theft if the fifth degree…a simple misdemeanor.
