(Okoboji)– The Iowa Great Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is gearing up for its annual Entrepreneurial Institute.
Corridor President Kathy Evert tells KUOO news the institute gets underway August 1st and will run that week.
In addition to meeting with entrepreneurs from throughout the region and networking, Evert says the students this year will also be involved in some community service activities that Tuesday. She says they’re looking for ideas for projects that would involve teams of three or four students. Anyone with project ideas should contact Evert at 264-3474.
Keynote speakers for this year’s Entrepreneurial Institute include John Lisle of Lisle Corporation in Clarinda who will address students that Wednesday; and Kevin Krause of Kum ‘n Go will address the students that Friday during the graduation ceremony.
Evert says 32 students from the University of Iowa, University of Northern Iowa, Iowa State University, Buena Vista University and Iowa Lakes Community College will be attending this year, which marks the fifth year for the institute.
