(West Okoboji)– Members of the Sioux County Dive Team were in the Iowa Great Lakes Tuesday assisting with clean-up and recovery efforts from last Saturday’s storm.
The team was requested to assist in diving for property and damaged items suspected to be on the bottom of the lake.
The Sioux County Dive Team concentrated its operations in the Terrace Park area on the south side of West Lake Okoboji…one of the areas hardest hit by the storm.
Divers bought up a number of items, including trolling motors, tackle boxes, sunglasses and other personal items. They also recovered a large amount of debris from docks and boat lifts. They were tied off and brought to the surface.
The Sioux County Dive Team was in the water about three hours.
