(Sioux City)– Two Worthington, Minnesota men face charges in connection with a break-in in late May of this year of a gun shop in Vale, Iowa.
22-year-old Felex Mendez and 19-year-old Jose Osoria-Mendez have been charged with one count of theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee.
The charges are contained in an indictment filed July 22nd in U.S. District Court in Sioux City.
If convicted Mendez and Ororia-Mendez face a possible maximum sentence of up to 10 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine along with up to three eyars of supervised release following any imprisonment.
The two men are being held in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending resolution of federal charges in Minnesota.
