(Spencer)– A Kansas woman has been charged with criminal trespassing after allegedly refusing to leave a residence in Spencer.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Chris Ross was allowed into a residence at 1015 East Fourth Street after requesting a drink of water. Authorities say she denied several requests by the homeowner to leave after that. A deputy made contact with Ross and she was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing.
Ross was transported to the Clay county jail without incident where she was being held pending an appearance before a Magistrate.
The incident took place around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.
