(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors this (Tuesday) morning approved plans and specifications and awarded a bid on a tax increment finance development project in the Jones Pasture area on the east side of Big Spirit Lake.
The supervisors awarded the project to Tug Helmers Construction of Estherville, the low bidder at $670,903. It came in below the engineer’s estimate of $951,050.
The supervisors voted unanimously to accept the low bid contingent on the contractor being approved by the County Engineer and upon Dickinson county acquiring the title and some easements to a roadway and trail in that area.
The supervisors took the action following a public hearing on the proposed project at this (Tuesday) morning’s meeting that drew no comments.
Also this (Tuesday) morning, the supervisors voted unanimously to approve a one-year contract with Season’s Center for mental health services.
