(Spirit Lake)– With the start of school just weeks away, Upper Des Moines Opportunity is kicking it’s annual “Back To School” program for less fortunate children into high gear.
Laurie Ruuf of UDMO says they’re hoping to serve 150 kids this year. She says the goal is to be able to provide each of them $150 in clothing and school supplies.
Donations of money and/or school supplies are being accepted now until August 15th, when Bomgaars opens it’s doors special hours for the kids to shop.
Donations may be dropped off at the Spirit Lake UDMO office on the southeast side of the Great Lakes Mall.
