Motorcycle Vs Tractor Collision Seriously Injures Man

(Ruthven)– A Ruthven man sustained serious injuries last Wednesday in a motorcycle crash in Clay county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 65-year-old Bill Fuller was driving a 2008 Honda Goldwing westbound on Highway 18 and was attempting to pass a tractor pulling a grain wagon. Authorities say the tractor began to make a left-hand turn into a field drive as Fuller was trying to pass. The motorcycle struck the front driver’s side of the tractor, causing Fuller to lose control of the motorcycle.

Fuller was taken to Spencer Hospital where he was being treated for a broken pelvis, broken hand a broken foot.

No injuries were reported to 53-year-old Dennis Christenesen of Ruthven, who was driving the tractor and grain wagon, which sustained minor damage.

The collision took place shortly before 5:00 p.m.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Spencer Hospital, Dickens Fire and Rescue and the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office.
