November 22, 2014

(Adrian, Mn.)– The driver of a vehicle that was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of I-90 was killed last night in a crash near the Adrian rest area.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the victim, who’s name hasn’t been released pending notification of relatives, was driving a 1997 Lincoln Towncar westbound in the eastbound lane when he collided head-on with an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet pickup driven by 16-year-old Brandon Berglund of Adrian.

Berglund was taken to Sanford Hospital in Worthington where he was treated and released; the driver of the other vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene.

Both vehicles were totaled.

The crash took place shortly before 11:00 p.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
