(Okoboji)– The Pearson Lakes Art Center Friday released its schedule of performances for 2011.
17 shows are planned, including the fourth installment of the “Growing Iowa’s Economy Speaker Series”.
Things kick off February 5th with electric Violinist Tracy Silverman.
March 7th features a performance by the Irish group “Danu”; on March 24th, Theatreworks, USA and Matt Murphy Productions will present “The Berenstein Bears: Family Matters-The Musical”.
On April 19th, it will be a night of music, memories and stories with The Doors’ Ray Manzarek with special guest, guitar icon, Roy Rogers.
The Return of Pictures Then will perform April 28th.
On May 19th, B.B. King Roadshows will proudly present Billy “Big Daddy” Cade’s tribute to the king of the blues, B.B. King.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra will be in concert June 8th; The Headliners will perform June 15th; and on June 22nd, Chad Hollister will return for his second season at PLAC.
Milford native John Moore will perform in July at a date to be announced; Grady Champion, National Blues Foundations’ 2010 International Blues Challenge winner, will perform July 13th; Second City takes the stage July 30th; Dave Rowley and Friends will entertain August 17th; guitarist Jennifer Batten will perform October 13th; Damon Dotson takes the stage at PLAC November 3rd; “Dance With Me…More Songs and Stories from the Early Years of Rock and Roll” will be presented November 18th; and there will be a holiday show December 15th titled “It’s Christmas with the Velvetones”…a group from Stephen’s College.
Tickets for the 2011 season go on sale Friday, September 3rd at the Pearson Lakes Art Center Box Office.
