Single Vehicle Crash Results In Possible Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Hartley)– Possible injuries were reported Friday in a single-vehicle crash in O’Brien county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 23-year-old Amber Morro of Hartley was driving a 2000 Ford Windstar van eastbound on 280th Street when she lost control. The vehicle went into the south ditch, which is also a creek bed. It rolled once while sliding along the creek embankment and came to rest in the bottom of the creek on the driver’s side.

Morro was helped out of the vehicle by a passerby and later refused medical treatment.

Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.

The crash took place shortly before 4:30 p.m. on 280th Street just west of Yew Avenue in O’Brien county.

Morro was cited for failure to maintain control.
