Palo Alto Co. Meth Conviction

November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)– A Graettinger man has been sentenced on meth charges in Palo Alto County District Court.

Curtis Bahr was sentenced September 1st to ten years in prison for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. An additional five years was added to the sentence for possession of a sawed-off shotgun. Bahr will be required to serve one third of the sentences concurrently before being eligible for any parole.

He was also fined a thousand dollars on the meth charge and $750 for the weapon conviction.

Palo Alto county authorities say it stems from a search warrant that was executed on Bahr’s residence in March of this year that turned up methamphetamine and the sawed-off shotgun. He was placed under house arrest with global positioning equipment attached to him.

Bahr pleaded guilty to the charges on June 25th of this year and was sentenced last Thursday.
