(Lakefield, Mn.)– A motorcycle crash this (Wed.) afternoon on Interstate 90 at the Lakefield exit injured a Michigan woman.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 27-year-old Polly Carden of Ann Arbor, Michigan was driving a 1986 Honda motorcycle when some loose clothing got caught and wrapped around the rear wheel, causing the wheel to lock. The motorcycle skidded about 150 feet and tipped onto its side, then slid another 75 feet.
Carden was taken by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls with non life-threatening injuries.
Severe damage was reported to the motorcycle.
The mishap took place shortly after 1:30 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
