(Milford)– If you think it’s still too early to get a flu shot, think again. Public health officials say now is a good time to get your shot so there will be plenty of time to build up immunity.
Dickinson County Public Health now has vaccine available and has scheduled vaccination clinics for Monday, October 4th; Monday, October 11th; Wednesday, October 13th; Monday, October 18th and Monday, October 25th. Clincs on the 4th, 13th and 25th will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 12 Noon; ones on the 11th and 18th will run from 2:00 until 5:30 p.m.
Appointments must be made by calling 336-2682.
The cost per vaccination is $25.
Officials say this year’s vaccine covers three different strains: H3N2; influenze B and H1N1.
Everyone six months of age and older is urged to get vaccinated, along with those who are at high risk of complications from the flu.
