(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision Friday at the intersection of Clay County Roads B-24 and M-50 sent one person to the hospital.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 63-year-old Vicki Wood of Webb was driving a 1998 Ford Windstar van southbound and 16-year-old Shyloh Elmore of Spencer was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina northbound when Elmore turned in front of Wood, resulting in a collision.
Wood was transported to Spencer Hospital with incapacitating injuries. No injuries were reported to Elmore, who was cited for failure to yield upon making a left turn.
Both vehicles were totaled.
The collision took place shortly after 3:30 p.m.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Hospital ambulance, Spencer Fire and Rescue and Dickens Fire and Rescue.
