(Spencer)– The Iowa State Patrol has released details into a single-vehicle crash last Friday in Clay county that injured three teens.
Troopers say 14-year-old Samantha Kluender of Royal was driving a 1991 Buick northbound on a gravel road when she lost control. The vehicle left the road and went into the east ditch where it came to rest.
Kluender and two passengers, Emille Haroldson…age not available, and 12-year-old Jasmine Kluender…both of Royal…sustained minor injuries.
Samantha Kluender was charged with failure to maintain control, violation of an instruction permit limitation and violation of a financial liability for an accident.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,500.
The crash took place around 7:30 a.m.
