(Spirit Lake)– It may not seem like it, but the holiday season is just around the corner.
Once again this year, KUOO, Bank Midwest and KAPCO are teaming up to make the season brighter for area soldiers who have been deployed.
Mickey Harrington of Bank Midwest says they are currently accepting names and company addresses of area soldiers. They may be sent to adoptasoldier@exploreokoboji.com from now until November 8th.
Donations for the program are also being accepted and may be dropped off at any Bank Midwest location.
Harrington says beginning Veteran’s Day, you’ll be able to select the name of a soldier from a tree at any Bank Midwest location for which to purchase items included on a list. You can then return the items to Bank Midwest where they’ll be boxed up and prepared for shipping.
