(Primghar)– A Hartley man was injured last week when a semi and grain trailer loaded with corn left the road.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says 56-year-old Douglas Reese of Hartley was driving a 2003 International semi pulling a 2010 Wilson trailer. Deputies say Reese was attempting to make a right turn when one of the trailer tires slipped off the pavement, causing the rig to go into the ditch. The semi and trailer then tipped onto its right side.
Reese was taken by ambulance to the Primghar hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
$30,000 in damage was estimated to the semi, with abotu $35,000 in damage estimated to the trailer, both owned by Rausch Farms of Hartley.
