Law enforcement officers are generally called to the location of where the call was made to confirm that everything’s alright.
Fischer says when you do have an emergency, you should be patient and let the 911 call go through. There can be a slight delay in the call getting through to dispatcher due to several pieces of equipment it has to go through.
