AGCO Breaks Ground On Major Expansion Of Jackson Operations

November 22, 2014

(Jackson, Mn.)— Ground was broken Tuesday on another major expansion for the AGCO plant in Jackson.

Company officials say the $42 million dollar expansion project over the next three years will bring 75 more jobs to Jackson, bringing the total number of employees at the facility to more than 1,200. They add the expansion will increase capacity of its tractor and sprayer assembly lines by 25 percent.

Plans call for the first phase to be completed this coming fall. It will consist of a 30,000 square foot expansion that will increase capacity by 20 percent. It will include the installation of a robotic welder and a sheet laser.

The remaining phases will include an in-line paint system and a cutting-edge testing system for finished products.
