Des Moines Man Faces Charges For Spirit Lake Vehicle Break Ins

(Spirit Lake)—Spirit Lake police say they’ve made an arrest in connection with a series of burglaries to vehicles over the last few months.

Police say their investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for 19-year-old Lucas Tassin. Tassin was arrested on the warrant on June 20th and was booked into the Dickinson county jail on charges of ongoing criminal conduct…a class “B” felony, credit card forgery…an aggravated misdemeanor, burglary in the 2nd degree…a class “C” felony, and five counts of burglary in the 3rd degree…an aggravated misdemeanor.

Spirit Lake police say the arrest of Tassin was based on a joint investigation with the Des Moines Police Department, which found a number of items that had been stolen locally. Des Moines police recovered the items and returned them to the Spirit Lake Police Department.
