(Spencer)– A dispute in a backyard Wednesday evening in Spencer resulted in a stab wound to one man and sent another to jail.
Spencer police say 24-year-old Scott Riley of Spencer was stabbed in the lower neck. He was taken to Spencer Hospital.
A suspect in the case, 30-year-old Curtis Tripp of Spencer, was located later by police. He was arrested and charged with intent to commit willful injury and was booked into the Clay county jail.
Police say the incident took place around 11:30 p.m.
