(Okoboji)—An Okoboji man has hit some big money in the Iowa Lottery.
Michael Mennenga won $100,000 on a scratch ticket. He says he bought it at the Okoboji Kum and Go store…(click here for comment.)
“Took it home and we scratched tickets, Sharon and I do, that’s my mate. Anyway I come down on the bottom of that and I seen that and I didn’t believe what I said so I just threw it across and I asked her to look at it and she looked at it and said are you kidding me? It says $100,000! I said I know.”
Mennenga, who recently retired, claimed his prize Monday at the Iowa Lottery’s regional office in Storm Lake…(click here for comment.) “Well right now we’re gonna put it in the bank and we’re wanting to find a country home and stuff. I’m just going to look around and see what I can do and probably have to use it as a down payment and we’ll go from there.”
Mennenga claimed the fifth of nine top prizes of $100,000 in the 10X Cash” instant scratch game.
