(Lake Park)– A man described as one of California’s most wanted parolees has been arrested by the Lake Park Police Department.
26-year-old Travis James Hunt was wanted by authorities in Antelope Valley, California, who listed him as “a dangerous individual” adding that he “must be apprehended”. California authorities say Hunt recently walked away from a chemical dependency program in Santa Monica, California.
Hunt has a criminal history of corporal injury to a spouse, second-degree robbery, vandalism, battery on an inmate and DUI.
Hunt was arrested Wednesday by the Lake Park Police Department. Police Chief Joe Hoover says he was acting on information that indicated Hunt was at a residence at 105 Avenue D West in Lake Park. Hoover says Hunt was located at that residence and was taken into custody without incident.
Hunt is being held without bond in the Dickinson county jail pending extradition back to California.
