The 45th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals powered by FENDT featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars are finally here. We talked to Jackson Motorplex general manager Doug Johnson about the season headliner and finale.
Fairmont Raceway hosted Back to School Night on Friday featuring the exhibition van races which could make a return before the season is over. USRA winners included Brandon Davis in his home-built Modified, Derek Green charged to Stock Car win number eight this season, Jared Boumeester returned to B-Mod Victory Lane for win number five this year, Parker Anderson got his third Hobby Stock win in a row, and Slade Fitzgerald made his Victory Lane debut in the Tuners. The fastest half-mile in the Midwest is back in action on Friday for the Martin County Fair races and the season championship is the following week.
IMCA racing finally returned to the Worthington Speedway after Mother Nature not playing nice for a few weeks. Feature winners included Joshua Rogotzke in Modifieds, Dustin Larson in Stock Cars, Cameron Vande Weerd in Sport Mods, Blake Luinenberg in Hobby Stocks, Bubba Brown in Sport Compacts, and Chris Hoogland in Bombers. They are scheduled for Saturday night action during each of the next two weekends.
