Comments From Spirit Lake Girls Coach Kyle Zankowski:
We saw some great competition from our conference and district. We wanted to test a few things out, run super-fast in 1 or 2 things, but the wind got in the way. What we did see though is that we can put forth an effort to match the teams we are competing against on the coming weeks. A few PRS came out of the night that need a shout out (Kate ran a 5:02 1500 and Fran threw 127 in disc!). We can all use that momentum going into Thursday conference. Make sure we get good sleep, eat well, and hydrate all week!

Comments From Spirit Lake Boys Coach Brad Travis:
We had a light warm up meet in preparation of The Lakes Conference Meet this coming Thursday. In addition to seeing a number of our conference schools we also got a good glimpse at a number of schools we will be seeing at districts soon. We had many standout performances tonight. A few of those would be Carter Toews running 21.89F which now places him 5th on the All-time school record list. Ethan Stecker also broke into the record books in the 110H with a time of 15.11. Ethan now holds the Sophomore record, formerly held by his coach who as a sophomore ran 15.16. Continuing with the sophomore successes in the 110H Cooper Winkel also made the top 10 sophomore all-time list in the 100H as well.
