Spirit Lake Coach Tim Heinitz:

It was a challenging but rewarding night overall in Carroll at the
state qualifying meet tonight.  Neither the boys or girls teams qualified for
state, but we did have 2 individual boys qualify! Congratulations to both Ryan
Maris and Alec Harrington for qualifying! This is the first year that they both
have qualified as individuals! I would like to take this opportunity to thank
the athletes, parents and fans for a great season.  It was both fun and
memorable! A special thank you to the parents, though, for making this season
extra special for the athletes.  We can’t say thank you enough for all that you
did for us this season- treats, drinks, pasta suppers, posters, locker posters,
pizza parties, pasta at Minervas, making all the road trips to cheer on the
teams, and giving positive words of encouragement! You had such a positive
influence on our team this year and as a coach I really appreciate it.  Both the
athletes and coaches are very grateful for all that you have done for us this
season.
