Friday night, it was Spirit Lake’s top ranked rushing defense going against the top rushing offense in the district in Garner Hayfield Ventura. End result, the Indian defense all but completely shut down the Cardinals en route to a 29-7 win in Garner. GHV came in averaging over 320 yards rushing per game. They left Friday night picking up a total of only 66 yards, with that total including a 75 yard touchdown run. Spirit Lake was led offensively again by quarterback Alec Henrickson, who had 254 yards passing on a 15 for 29 night and two touchdowns. Alec added a third touchdown rushing. Josh Hofstra had the other touchdown on the ground. Spirit Lake coach Josh Bolluyt was extremely pleased with the inidans play on both sides of the ball. Spirit lake improves to 4-0, and will next face Boyden Hull Rock Valley, who stayed unbeaten Friday night with a 49-0 shut out of Unity Christian. The game will be played in Spirit Lake.
