Okoboji was without their injured starting quarterback, Alex Heller, and their two backup QBs also, as the Pioneers struggled mightily against #2 Spirit Lake. The Indians dominated in all facets of the game and the scoreboard reflected it with a final of 75-0.

Lake scored less than a minute into the game thanks to a 10 yard run by
Josh Hofstra, his first of three touchdowns in the game. After an
onside kick attempt, Spirit Lake got the ball back and Alec Henrickson
connected with Homecoming King Trevor Jensen on a 26 yard touchdown
pass.

Backhaus added a 1 yard touchdown rush and Austin Folsom had a 79 yard
punt return touchdown in the first quarter. Spirit Lake led Okoboji 27-0
at the end of the first. The Indians added six rushing touchdowns in
the second quarter. Hofstra and Caleb Jennings both had two, while
Dallas Poock and Gavin DeVos each added one touchdown apiece. At the
half, Spirit Lake led Okoboji 69-0.
