Offenses impress as H-LP falls to M-M-C
Marcus-Meridan-Cleghorn appeared to be in control of a 27-0 ballgame in 8 player, District 1 on Friday night in Marcus, but Harris-Lake Park battled back and kept it interesting in a wild 75-43 win for the Eagles. The nearly three hour game saw MMC lead 13-0 after one, 48-22 at half, and 61-36 after three. MMC's high powered offense impressed on the ground and through the air. The Eagles had 279 yards on the ground to go along with 356 yards through the air. Derek Erdman and Connor Holmes each had three touchdowns for MMC, who improves to 4-1 (3-0) and hosts Whiting next Friday. HLP's ground game amassed 146 yards with 137 of them going to Brady Van Iperen. The Wolves had 223 yards through the air. Cole Bosma led the way with 11 receptions for 147 yards.
