JACKSON, MN – The 37th Annual University of Okoboji Night
provided a great evening’s entertainment on the 4th of July holiday weekend at the historic Jackson Speedway Saturday, July 5, with a total of 97 cars turned out for the evening’s
races.
The night’s feature wins went to Nick Birchard of Spencer,
IA, in the Minnesota West Technical College Power Sports
Technology Minniakota Micro Sprints. In the Yellowbook
Sport Compact feature, Megan Lappegard of Estherville, IA
earned the checkered flag. For the Loosbrock Digging
Service IMCA Hobby Stocks, Malik Sampson of Worthingoton,
MN captured the checkered flag. The Bohl’s Small Engine
and Marine IMCA Sport Modified feature win went to Nick
Dieter of Brewster, MN and in the Hometown Motors IMCA
Stock Car class, Luke Sathoff of Jackson, MN, took the
lead on the white-flag lap to win his first feature of the
season. For the JSTS/Last Deck 360 Winged Sprint feature,
Russ Hall of Pleasant Hill, IA earned the. checkered flag.
Racing action continues this Saturday, July 12 for AGCO
Employee and Jackson Sports Night, and will include
fireworks at the conclusion of the night’s racing program.
