ILCC Women’s Basketball Signs Recruit

Iowa
Lakes Community College Head Women’s Basketball Coach Nicole Bullock is proud to
announce the signing of Za’keea Monae Sa’eed-El to a National Junior College
Letter of Intent.  She will be joining the Laker basketball program this
fall.

Sa’eed-El,
a 5-foot 2-inch guard from Bloomington John F. Kennedy in Bloomington, Minn.,
was a four year letter winner for the Eagles.  She was a key contributor to her
team’s 4 consecutive conference championships, back to back state appearances
and 3 consecutive seasons with 20 plus wins.

As
a senior, Za’keea averaged 5.5 points per game, shot 43 percent from behind the
arc and led her team in steals with 7 per game.

“Za’keea
is an excellent addition to our program and we could not be more excited.  She
brings a level of quickness and toughness that we have been lacking the past few
seasons,” Head Coach Nicole Bullock stated.  “The success of her team at the
high school level will also add to our program.  She will have a major defensive
role to play and her ability to shoot the ball and attack the basket will help
us on the offensive end.”

Sa’eed-El
is the daughter of Tomika Williams and Zakee Sa’eed-El.  She is planning to
major in Athletic Training at Iowa Lakes.
