ILCC Men Drop Two Games In Nebraska

The Iowa Lakes Men’s Basketball team returned from the road this weekend 1-2.

The Lakers lost their first game on Friday 101-97 vs. Northeast Community College. The Lakers were led by Deondre Parks with 26 points and a career high from Tate Harmon with 21. Also scoring in double figures for Lakers was Latrell Love with 22, Diamontae McKinley with 14, and Colton Neff with 12. “You’re not going to win many games letting teams shoot 61% from the floor, we have to be more disciplined and tougher on the defensive side of the ball.” said Head Coach Troy Larson.

On Saturday night the defensive effort was much better when the Lakers held Central Community College to just 37% from the floor. The Lakers however found themselves falling short once more losing 89-78. They were led by Deondre Parks once again with 28 points. Also scoring in double figures was Latrell Love with 16. “ I thought we fought tonight, we just had way to many mistakes down the stretch to win the game. The Lakers had 24 turnovers in the game.

The Lakers return to action Wednesday November 13 vs. Dordt JV. Tip will be at 7:30pm.
