Harris-Lake Park beat Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn 3-2 in a close
War Eagle Conference Volleyball match on Thursday night in Lake Park. The Hawks
used an early lead to take game one 25-17. The Wolves responded in game two,
using an early lead and holding on for a 25-22 win. In game three, HMS led by as
many as eight and would survive a late rally by the Wolves to take the game
25-22. HLP used the momentum from game three to take game four 25-23 and game
five 15-11. Nichole Rowe had 15 kills, 14 assists and 13 digs on the night for HLP. Katherin Ihnen had 25 digs and 11 kills for HLP. The Wolves are 14-10 (5-4 War Eagle). They host a tournament on
Saturday. HMS falls to 9-7 (6-3 War Eagle). They will be at the Wolves’
tournament on Saturday.
