HLP Gets Big District Win Over Remsen St. Mary’s

Harris-Lake Park used a huge second quarter to get ahead of Remsen St.
Mary’s and didn’t look back in a 61-18 win on the road Friday Night.  Neither
team had much luck in the first quarter, but the Wolves put a long drive
together to end the quarter and got up 6-0 as time expired in the first thanks
to a 31 yard touchdown pass from Brady Van Iperen to Dahlton Burdorf.  The Wolves
scored on every possession in a long second quarter including a 22 yard
touchdown run by Van Iperen, a 26 yard touchdown pass from Van Iperen to Jordan
Kyle, a five yard touchdown run by Van Iperen, a 12 yard touchdown run by Van
Iperen, a 17 yard touchdown pass from Van Iperen to Kyle, and a four yard
touchdown pass from Van Iperen to Ryan Gembler.  The Hawks lone score of the
first half was a 49 yard touchdown catch and run by Elliot Connover.  HLP led
46-6 at halftime and enjoyed continuous clock in the second half.  The Wolves
second half scores were a 44 yard touchdown run by Van Iperen and a four yard
touchdown run by Gembler.  RSM had a 12 yard touchdown run by Marcus Konopasek
and a 60 yard touchdown catch by Conover in the fourth.
 
Van Iperen had 227 yards rushing to go along with 113 yards passing for
HLP.  He had four rushing touchdowns and four touchdown passes with no
interceptions.  The Wolves had 476 yards of total offense.  Kole Ruml had a sack
and a fumble recovery.  Cale Hellinga had an interception for HLP, who improves
to 4-2 (3-1 District).  They host Marcus-Meridan-Cleghorn next Friday.  Remsen St.
Mary’s falls to 4-2 (3-1 District).  They are at West Bend-Mallard next
week.
