HLP drops a weather shortened district game
In 8 man district 1 last night, Harris Lake Park hosted a homecoming game against River Valley. The Wolverines jumped out to a 38-14 lead before the game was stopped with 8:47 to go in the 3rd quarter. The teams waited for awhile, before a decision was made to halt play for the night. Scheduling then became an issue, and with the two teams unable to find a common time when play could resume, the game was called final, with River Valley picking up the win. Harris Lake Park was paced by Brady Van Iperen, who had 18 carries for 79 yards and 1 touchdown, caught four passes for 65 yards, and threw a 23 yard touchdown pass to Cole Bosma. The wolves fall to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in district play. They next face Clay Central Everly on the road next Friday night.
