Emmetsburg Football Takes Care Of Eagle Grove

The Emmetsburg footbal team scored early and often in route to a 61-8 district road win at Eagle Grove on Friday.  The E’hawks would get the opening kickoff and Grant Deitering would return it 78 yards for the touchdown and just like that 12 seconds into the game, Emmetsburg had the lead.  The E’hawks would score 2 more times in the 1st and 4 times in the 2nd quarter and led 48-0 at half.

Emmetsburg had  9 different players rush the football and would get 423 yards on the ground and 43 thru the air for 466 yards of offense.  Eagle Grove was held to 135 yards.  Eagle Grove is now on a 26 game varsity losing streak and drops to 0-7 on the season while Emmetsburg improves to 4-3 and will host Pocahontas next Friday on Y 100.
