After 2 long road trips the Emmetsburg football team returned home for homecoming and took care of Central Springs 48-6. The E’hawks would receive the opening kickoff and 2 min and 48 seconds later would it in from 1 yard out by Jacob Kibbie. After a 3 and out by the panther, the E’hawks would get the ball back and score again just 4 minutes into the 1st quarter. Emmetsburg would lead 20-0 after the 1st quarter and increase their lead to 41-6 at half. Only 1 touchdown was scored in the 2nd half thanks to the running clock and the E’hawks cruise to a 42 point win.
Emmetsburg would amass 334 yards of offense, all on the ground. They were led by Jacob Kibbie rushing 18 times for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Emmetsburg defense would hold Central Springs to just 84 yards of total offense and forced 2 fumbles.
Emmetsbug is now 3-3, 2-1 in district play and will be at Eagle Grove next Friday on Y 100.
