Lemars Gehlen would strike first scoring on a 77 yard run by quarterback Blake Wiltgen.  He would also score the 2 pt conversion and go up 8 – 0 with 7:47 left in the 1st quarter.  Emmetsburg would put together a good drive to end the first and start in the 2nd quarter and would get on the board with a 1 yard run by Allen Jensen, the 2 pt extra point would be good and the score would be tied at 8.  After a another stop on defense, Emmetsburg got the ball back and scored again on a 2 yard touchdown run by Jensen.  They would not get the 2 pts and go up 14-8 with 6:31 to go in the half.  With 2:20 to go, Wiltgen found Mitchell Flack for a 27 yard touchdown pass to put Gehlen 15-14 after the extra point.  In the 3rd quarter, the Jays would score on a 4 yard pass to Flack again and go up 22-14 after the extra point.  Late in the 3rd quarter, the E’hawks put together another great drive and scored with 40 seconds left on a 24 yard run by Allen Jensen.  They would go for 2 and tie it up at 22 going into the 4th quarter.  Late in the 4th quarter, Lemars Gehlen fumbled around their own 4 yard line.  Emmetsburg would get it to the 2 and fumble it right back to the Jays.  On the very next play, Gehlen would hand the ball off and Emmetsburg would get thru the line and get the safety with 1:42 to go in the game.  That would be the difference and after the recovery on the free kick, Emmetsburg ran out the clock and held on for the win.
