Hull Western Christian jumped out to an early 11-0 lead, only to have Emmetsburg go on a 10-5 run to end the quarter and HWC would be up 16-10. It was only 30-21 at the half in favor of the wolfpack. In the second half, HWC pulled away outscoring Emmetsburg by 18 in route to a 69-42 victory. Hull Western Christian had 4 players in double figures led by Kaira Moss with 14 points. Emmetsburg was led by Ashton Connelly with 14 and Tegan Olson with 12
Hull Western Christian is now 7 – 0, 4 – 0 and will play Des Moines Christian Saturday at Dordt College. Emmetsburg falls to 4 – 2, 3 – 1 and will be at South Central Calhoun on Saturday.
Boys
Western Christian opened up a 24-9 lead after the first, did not let Emmetsburg score in the 2nd quarter and was up 37-9 at halftime. It was much the same in the second half and Hull Western Christian defeated Emmetsburg 74-24. The wolfpack had 10 different players score and were led by Kyle Fopma with 18. Emmetsburg was led by Erik Drost with 10 points.
HWC is now 5 – 0, 4 – 0 and will play Des Moines Christian at Dordt College on Saturday. Emmetsburg falls to 2 – 4, 1 – 3 and will be at South Central Calhoun Saturday night.
