The
Iowa Lakes Volleyball team signed its first recruit of the 2015 class, Taryn
Ruden of Spirit Lake. Ruden, a right side hitter, was a three year letter winner
for the Indians.
During
her Senior campaign Ruden played in 39 matches accumulating 63 kills and 36
blocks. She helped lead her team to a 28-11 record, the best in school history,
and a third place finish in the Lakes Conference.
During
her time at Spirit Lake High School, Ruden was also a four year letter winner in
track as well as a state qualifier.
Head
Coach Megan Bezdicek is excited for Ruden to join the
Lakers. Coach
Bezdicek stated, “I am really excited about the athleticism Taryn will bring to
our gym and I look forward to seeing how she will develop as a volleyball player
during her career here at Iowa Lakes.”
Taryn
is the daughter of Ryan and Tabitha Ruden and is planning to study Nursing or
Early Childhood Education.
