The Spirit Lake High School Softball Team went 2-2, over the
weekend, at a tournament in Spencer.
The Indians won their eighth straight game, Friday, as they
topped MOC-Floyd Valley, 8-6. They were then beaten, 7-4, by North Union.
They rebounded, Saturday, with an 8-2 win over Sioux Center,
before being shut out, 3-0, by Denison Schleswig.
In the game against Sioux Center,
freshman MacKenzie Thate was 2-for-3 at the plate, with a home run and four
RBIs. It was Thate’s fifth home run of
the season.
The Indians are on the road, today, against LeMars. They were beaten 13-0, by the Bulldogs,
earlier this month.
