Spirit Lake Softball Goes 1-1 in Friday Tourney

The Spirit Lake High School
softball team beat MOC-Floyd
Valley, 8-6, last night, in
a tournament at Spencer. 


 


Alissa Christoffer was 2-for-3 at the plate with three
stolen bases and an RBI.  MacKenzie Thate
was 2-for3 with two RBIs.


 


The Indians then had their eight game winning streak snapped
as they fell to North Union, 7-4.


 


The Tournament continues today, for Spirit
Lake, as the Indians will face Sioux Center
and Denison-Schleswig.


 


North Union beat
Denison-Schleswig, 6-5, yesterday.



The Okoboji Softball Invitational continues, today, at Okoboji High School.  The Pioneers will take on
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn at 1 o’clock this afternoon.  Also at 1 o’clock,
Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire faces Sioux Central, and and Clay
Central-Everly goes up against Sibley-Ocheydan.


 


The Harris-Lake  Park
Baseball and Softball teams both host tournaments today.  The softball tournament includes Laurens-Marathon,
Unity Christian, George-Little Rock.  The
baseball tournament will feature Laurens-Marathon, Newell-Fonda,
Sibley-Ocheyedan.
